CrossroadsMitigationOur approach
A fuller picture.
A more informed path forward.
Crossroads exists to bring the life behind the case file into focus. Records can describe what happened without explaining the circumstances, experiences, and systems that shaped the person.
Through careful investigation, trauma-informed interviewing, and systems analysis, Crossroads helps Texas defense teams connect that history to verified evidence and the decision ahead.
The work starts with counsel’s question: What needs to be understood, tested, or developed? From there, the assignment takes shape around the available records, the client’s circumstances, and the time the defense team has to prepare.

Meet the founder
Andrea leads Crossroads with a focus on the connections between lived history, institutional response, and the evidence a defense team needs. Her approach gives the person room to be understood while keeping the work grounded in the record.
For counsel, that means clear priorities, thoughtful questions, and materials built around the decision at hand. The aim is a credible account of the person’s circumstances and a practical path forward.
Role and relationship Crossroads works in support of and at the direction of defense counsel. It provides nonlegal mitigation, investigation, and case-support services; it isn’t a law firm and doesn’t provide legal advice.
Material conclusions stay connected to records, interviews, and identified evidence.
The work develops the person and context without minimizing accountability or the legal question.
Scope, priorities, and deliverables remain tied to defense counsel’s strategy and decision needs.
Investigation and analysis are translated into credible materials counsel can actually use.
